Do you need help with an insurance claim?

An insurance broker can save you time, money and worry. Just like an accountant or lawyer who provides you with professional advice, based on years of training and experience, a qualified broker can do the same with your insurance.

When arranging insurance, many people take shortcuts without seeking proper advice, understanding the fine print or considering whether they are getting value for money. Often they are disappointed when their insurance doesn’t come to the rescue.

Whether its home, farm, business, heavy motor or trade insurance brokers provide advice and assistance to make sure you are properly protected.

Using a broker doesn’t necessarily cost more. Often it costs less because brokers have knowledge of the insurance market and ability to negotiate competitive premiums on your behalf. A broker will also explain your policy and any special situations you need to watch out for. Furthermore, a broker is obliged to advise you of fees charged for services provided to you.

An insurance brokers foremost duty is to his or her client. An insurance broker works for you. That’s the reason.

Property Damage Claims (Business or Domestic):

If you’ve just suffered a property loss (i.e. Storm, Malicious or Accidental damage); the following information is required to process your claim:

  • Date, estimated time and location of loss
  • Description of what occurred
  • Malicious damage losses will need to be reported to Police
  • Replacement quote items that cannot be repaired
  • Repair quotation for property that can be repaired
  • Supporting photos of any damaged property

Motor Insurance Claims

If you’ve suffered a Motor accident; to streamline the claims process please ensure you have the following information prior to contacting our office to lodge your claim:

  • Date, estimated time and location of where loss occurred
  • Description of what occurred (Including who was driving the vehicle and whom you believe to be at fault)
  • Third Party contact information including their Insurance data
  • Witness contact information
  • Contact info for vehicle repairer if your vehicle is in their possession
  • Quote for repair or written advice from repairer if believed to be a “write off”
  • If item is a “write off” information on any finance owing
  • If vehicle stolen, a Police report will need to be provided

Theft Claims

If you’ve suffered a Theft and need to make a claim; by providing the following information upon lodgement this could streamline your claim process drastically:

  • Date, estimated time and location of loss
  • Description of what occurred
  • Photos of forced entry if possible
  • Replacement quotes for stolen items
  • Proof of ownership of items being claimed
  • Police report needs to be provided following any malicious claims
  • Quotes to repair any damage experienced in those responsible gaining access
